Clean Homes: Sick Babies

I didn't know that chemical products affect babies and cause that much problems until I listened this story which is "Clean Homes: Sick Babies"

So now, I know that why made me sometimes sick when I was cleaning bathroom with a chemical cleaner, off course I know that normally behind the product said that "Please open a window when you use this product."
Imagine that how easy to get sick little babies because even adult gets sick by chemical products

Now I am using natural product for cleaning because make me sick. Sometimes a chemical products more easy to clean but now I have more information from this story I will stay natural products.

If I could be an animal, I would be.....

If I could be an animal, I would be a monkey because they are amusing, clever, friendly, close to human. And they like to groom other monkey's ear or body anywhere. I love to do cleaning my husband's ears. Also I love to spend long time to watching monkey when I go to zoo. And they are cute especially a baby monkeys.

Scarlet flower

Do you know this flower ?

I have been in Australia about 2.4 years but I didn't know the flower name.

So I'd like to say thank you to my teacher to give me a oppotunity to find out the name of flower.

This flower's name is "Waratah"

The Waratah is the floral emblem of New South Wales, a large (10-12cm across) and spectacular scarlet flower growing in the bush in clumps of tall stems. The Waratah is protected by law.
Have a look drivers licence if you have, you can see this flower picture.

PLAY GOLF

It was first time I went to play golf on a golf course during the school holiday.

My husband has been playing it since he was little so I had been asking him to teach me how to play golf long time.

He likes to teach my friends and my dad but hadn't happened to me but finally happened!!


I was so excited on golf course I have been there before but for a caddie ( but I never carry golf club and I can't tell any advise neither) but the day I was allowed to swing and hit a golf ball.


First hit my ball was rolling, rolling , rolling down the hill.....


second shot, swing and miss.....


I kept and going.


Last two or three hole, I did one on par three twice.

Also I made par!!


I told that story in Andrew's class then I said, "I don't know I just used to play or accidentally."

Andrew told me new words "Beginner's Luck"

Yes, that's me!!


I enjoyed play golf on the other hand I like enjoy driving golf cart.

Harmony Day

On 21 March, we celebrated Harmony day with lots of students and teacheres.

Before on the day, Marion and Sally told us about harmony day. I didn't know anything about harmony day except celebration colour is Orange.

I'm happy that celebrating harmony day and also this country celebrating cultural diversity because I'm one of the immigrant.

Also we practice a song that was "I am Australian" I never heard before the song. I like beautiful song especially the chorus parts.

On the Harmony day, we went to building A and celebrated. When I went into the room there were a lots of food, chaires and orange decoration with "You + Me = US."

Three students speached about them selves and one lady sang her country song, it's so beautiful !! Of course I couldn't understand sang about and words but I think, it doesn't need to understand I enjoyed and felt into my heart.

I think my sight bigger and bigger since I moved into Australia I have oppotunity to meet and talk different country people.

This is beautiful !! You + Me = US, togther!!

Library

If you have enrolled in TAFE you can borrow a book from the TAFE library. You need to bring to the TAFE card when you want to join in.
You can borrow 6 prints are including books and magazine for 2 weeks also you can borrow 4 audio visual items for 1 week which is videos, audio cassette and CD from St George Library at any one time. If you want them for a long time you can renewed up to 6 print plus 4 audio twice on (6weeks)or before the due date if they are not on reserve for someone else. When you want to renew books or other library items, renewal made in person or over the phone. You can search the library catalogue from internet even your home. Also you can borrow books from other TAFE libraries.

The library is open Mon - Thur: 9am - 8pm, Friday: 9am - 6pm and Holidays: to be advised. Return chutes are available next to the library entry door if you want to return books after - hours.

In the library you can also make potocopies or print one of the library computers. You need TAFE card and need to know money on TAFE card. The facirities to do that has in the library they can add coin or note Crick "print" on your computer and access to the computer which is between a potocopier. Place your TAFE card into the machine which is next to the computer and choose and press for your photocoy. The cost is 20 cents for A4 B&W but if you are Student Association members half price.

The library has other service that is help student with an assightment, find an information, trouble to find book and if there a book found in catarogue faraway library they can bring it in.
They also have ESL resources which is The catalogue, Subject areas, Magazines & News papers, On-line databases, Australia/ New Zealand reference centre, Macqualie.net, Internet, TAFE study links, CDROMS, Videos/DVDs, Sound recordings, Reference, Special reserve.
Books and kits which is include excise book audio tape leaders story books , kits with the audio tape and story book. Dictionary in reference section can use just in library that good for ESL student!!

I was born in Yokohama Japan. Yokohama is big city of Kanagawa. Most of people may don't know where about it so if I tell you that is near Tokyo you might have idea.

Now Yokohama is winter that meaning is opposite to Sydney. I talked to my mum and dad last Saturday, they said that "It'll snow on Tuesday in Yokohama."

Also they told me about Japanese apricot tree are blooming, normally the flower bloom before spring.

We call the tree "UME" in Japan so I never forget my classmate name, her name is "Umme." These spell are different but sounds same to me also one of my Japanese friend's name is 'Ume".

So first time when I met her remind me Japan.
